Primus Brass
The ensemble was established in 1999 by musicians affiliated with Concentus Musicus Wien and the Wiener Akademie. The primary objective was to leverage their collective expertise in historical performance practices by forming a specialized ensemble. They predominantly focus on performing Renaissance and Baroque wind music, utilizing authentic instruments such as the cornetto, Baroque trumpet, Renaissance trombone, organ, and harpsichord.
Over the years, the ensemble has showcased its talents at esteemed venues including the Wiener Musikverein and Konzerthaus Wien. Additionally, they have participated in renowned festivals such as the Salzburg Festival, Bregenz Festival, styriarte Graz, and have made appearances across various European countries.
